My work begins with spending time looking—returning to familiar subjects and noticing how they grow, change, and occupy space.
Through my paintings and teaching, I invite you to look closely and develop a thoughtful relationship with making art.

I am drawn to the quieter structures of the living world and to forms that are neither arranged nor idealised. Working primarily in watercolour and oil, I explore how structure, colour, and spatial relationships bring a painting to life.

I am a painter working with the plants and animals that exist around me in daily life, with a focus on Indian flora and fauna, both native and naturalised.
My work comes from spending time looking. I observe how plants grow, move, age, and occupy space across days and seasons. I do not work from single images or isolated moments. Understanding builds slowly through repeated observation.
What I care about most is structure and liveliness. I pay attention to stems, overlaps, bends, dry branches, worn leaves, and the quieter parts that hold a form together.
